Choosing nominees to take on the role of Supreme Court Justice is an important task that not every President gets the opportunity to do. So far in his term President Obama has selected 2. The first, Justice Sotomayor, was confirmed in August of last year. With Justice John Paul Stevens retiring, it is time for Obama to make another nomination. This time he chose Elena Kagan. While she doesn’t have any experience as a judge or in politics, she has served as on the board at Harvard. Many senators have refrained from stating their opinion, but with the inquiry and confirmation process set to begin shortly we will soon find out.
